| Card Game - 1967 Watercolor on paper, 60.9 x 76.2 cm
Heard Museum, Phoenix, AZ
Card Game is a portrayal of a typical tribal gambling scene from Navajo life. One particular detail that catches interest is the ace protruding out of one of the player's rear trouser pocket. Although there is little doubt that he is in deed cheating the others, it is impossible to depict whether he is working single-o or with the aid of a partner (or partners). |
