CARDSHARK Online
This site offers detailed information about card cheating and crooked gambling in general. We assume that the readers are familiar with the rules of popular card games (mostly poker, blackjack and baccarat) so these basic rules of card games will not be explained here. Should you ever have the need to look up the rules, please visit our rules of card games page on our sister site Playing Cards Online. With the booming popularity of poker, knowledge is a player's best protection against professional card cheatss. This is why you should learn about all the cheating methods that can be used against you in a game of cards.
For historic information about card cheating we've also published Sharps and Flats: Secrets of the Cardsharps. This is a historic text, written by John Nevil Maskeline, in 1894 and is the first thorough exposure of card cheating and crooked gambling in history.
The goal of this site is to educate gamblers and card players about the dangers of gambling and to raise people's awareness regarding the cheating aspect of card games. Some of the cheating methods exposed here are closely kept secrets from the arsenal of the professional card shark. It is not uncommon to pay several hundred, even thousands, of dollars to buy the secret to the best methods.
For those wishing to have a live demonstration of some of the cheating techniques used by professional card shark, please go to our crooked gambling lectures page for information on how to book a live lecture. Furthermore, I've also created a live interactive demo show with crooked blackjack games where people get the chance to voluntarily submit themselves to being cheated at blackjack while gambling with play money. For further information on these demo shows please visit our sister site Bustout Dealer: casino blackjack cheating.
Although it is impossible to explain all the card cheating strategies in one publication we strive to regularly update this web site with new information. This site deals primarily with cheating at live gambling games, however, with the booming popularity of the internet we also created a chapter on online gambling where we explain in great detail what some of the online gambling scams may be. The online gambling chapter shodul be of particular interest to poker players.
Nowadays there is no shortage of publications on crooked gambling, but throughout history written materials on this subject were scarce. All that history left us are artifacts and some of the most amazing masterpieces, in which some of the world's greatest artists, such as Caravaggio, Georges de La Tour and Valentin de Boulogne documented some of the crooked gambling aspects of their era with their brushstrokes. Their paintings allow us to have a glimpse of what it was like around the gambling tables, throughout history. All the world's most famous paintings with the gambling theme are listed in our directory and described in the Art History of Cheating chapter on our site.
Furthermore, we have an amazing collection of crooked gambling paraphernalia (ancient and modern) that we have on display in our Virtual Museum of Crooked Gambling. Many of these cheating gaffs were sold through mail order catalogs, by infamous crooked gambling distributors, such as Will & Finck, the KC Card Co, Hunt & Co, Mason & Co, and so on. Other cheating gaffs in our collection are more modern and not necessarily fabricated by companies that specialized in manufacturing props for crooked gambling.
We also have a Video Archive of Crooked Gambling that we constantly update with various card cheating demos, casino surveillance recordings as well as some covert recording of real card cheats in action. This listing also has a TV & News section with an archive of all the news reports that we were able to find on the subject of crooked gambling, mostly about cheating in casinos.
Finally, for those looking for some laughs, we have created a sister site CASINOVILLE: gambling comics where we feature cartoon characters of compulsive gamblers that are trying to collect all the money on the world by cheating in casinos.
